Clean
For staining or soiling, first identify the material and its care requirements. Not every surface is leather, and no universal cleaner suits every interior.
Repair
For a tear, worn surface or damaged trim, ask what improvement is realistic and what limitations would remain.
Replace
For new material or a wider refresh, discuss the exact areas, material, colour and finish. Ask for a physical sample where available.

Seats are more than trim.
Seats may contain wiring, sensors and safety components. Ask how the proposed work affects them and whether the scope suits your exact vehicle.
Do not assume cosmetic changes preserve every original function. Confirm this before agreeing to work.
Agree the detail

Ask for a written scope covering the supplied materials, areas included, exclusions, taxes and expected schedule. Ask how unexpected findings after trim removal would be discussed before extra work.
At handover, review the agreed areas and ask for material-specific cleaning guidance. There is no universal promise that every stain or tear can be restored.
